A high-conviction gambler stands to win $48,350,000 if Trump prevails in Tuesday’s US presidential election, according to crypto analytics platform Arkham.
Arkham says a whale trader put up $27.15 million on the crypto betting platform Polymarket in hopes of winning more than $48 million if Republican Donald Trump wins.
Arkham also reports other big wagers on Trump as well as on his Democratic challenger Kamala Harris.
“Who will win the most on the election?
Trump:
- Fredi9999 (four accounts) to win $48.35 million (cost basis: $27.15 million).
- zxgngl to win $24.75 million (cost basis: $15.21 million).
- GCottrell93 to win $13.28 million (cost basis: $8.82 million).
Kamala:
- Ly67890 (four accounts) to win $16.06 million (cost basis: $5.91 million).
- leier to win $10.87 million (cost basis: $5.02 million).
- markitzero to win $8.36 million (cost basis: $4.04 million).”
Arkham is reporting on bets that are still pouring in the morning of Election Day, including a Polymarket user named ‘walletmobile’ who just bet $10 million on Donald Trump winning the election, standing to win $16 million.
Some Trump betters are adding to their total wagers as voters head to the polls Tuesday. The previously mentioned “zxgngl” wallet added nearly $5 million to their bet early on Election Day, according to Arkham.
“$30 million if Donald Trump wins. Polymarket user ‘zxgngl’ has now spent $18 million betting on Trump, making him the largest single Trump bet on Polymarket. He will win $29.47 million if Trump wins the election.”
The Wall Street Journal recently reported that a French national calling himself “Theo” is betting over $30 million on Polymarket that Trump wins.
“My intent is to make money… I have absolutely no political agenda.”
The wagers are settled once major news outlets call the race.
Says Polymarket,
“This Presidential market resolves when the Associated Press, Fox and NBC all call the election for the same candidate. In the unlikely event that doesn’t happen, the market will remain open until inauguration and resolve to whoever gets inaugurated.”
At time of writing, Polymarket’s Presidential Election bet has done $3.282 billion volume, and is giving Donald Trump a 60% chance of winning.
