The largest crypto exchange in the US rolls out a new marketing initiative that puts the spotlight on crypto technology’s transformative potential for the global financial system.
According to Coinbase, the national advertising campaign, Crypto: Moving America Forward, also shows what is at stake if the US fails to advance crypto given that other nations, including fellow superpower China, make significant progress with the technology.
“With China embracing and advancing the use of technology, including digital assets, to project power, Crypto: Moving America Forward will also make clear that US global economic leadership and national security are at risk if the US cedes its role in building technology that will be central to the world’s financial infrastructure.”
The ads featuring Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong will be aired on popular Sunday shows and will feature new chapters each weekend.
Coinbase highlights the importance of crypto to the US following the March report from venture capital firm Electric Capital that says the country could miss out on significant technological and economic opportunities because of its regulatory stance on digital assets.

“Crypto and blockchain technologies are the next wave of the Internet, with the potential to fundamentally change money, the financial system, and the Internet more broadly. That the US is losing market share in blockchain software development highlights the need for the country to take action to preserve its preeminence in financial markets and related technologies.”
