Original ensures the security of user wallets through Multi-party computation (or MPC) wallets. Original is working with a top leading partner in security to disperse the single point of failure of a wallet by removing all kinds of human intermediation that put crypto at risk.
What happens if we stop using Original or Original closes (data, collections, contracts, wallets…)?
You recover the ownership of your collection smart contracts and your users the ownership of their wallets of course.
How does Original handle metadata storage for NFT assets?
NFT metadata are stored on IPFS (InterPlanetary File System), a peer-to-peer hypermedia protocol designed to preserve and grow humanity’s knowledge by making the web more open. In other words, your asset’s metadata are stored on a decentralized storage system so that the NFT continues to exist even if Original stops it’s services. Although as a Client you can choose to store the asset image on your servers. In this case, only the url link to your server will be stored on IPFS.
