Lil Wayne and Pharrell will Star in the Doodles NFT Animated Film

The NFT project Doodles, as is built on Ethereum, announced that it is working on an animated movie called “Dullsville and the Doodleverse”. Notably, well-known musicians Pharrell Williams, Lil Wayne, and Coi Leray will all be involved in the movie.

An Collaboration with Golden Wolf Studios

The animated film “Dullsville and the Doodleverse” is currently being produced at Golden Wolf, an experienced studio that Doodles purchased in January 2023. The film, which is being directed by Scott “Burnt Toast” Martin, co-founder of Doodles, aims to marry music with animation to produce a novel kind of entertainment.

Pharrell Williams, working with Columbia Records, created the music for the movie, which will be available through Doodles Records, an affiliate label. Lil Wayne and Coi Leray will also be working on the soundtrack and giving voice acting to characters in the movie.

First and Promotional Plan

The film “Dullsville and the Doodleverse” will make its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September. It is part of a larger advertising campaign called “Project Gray,” which is expected to start in early summer. CEO of Doodles Julian Holguin has discussed the process of making the movie and noted the value of keeping creative control.

In order to keep creative liberty, Holguin highlighted Doodles’ decision to pursue internal development as compared to collaborating with other animation firms. This strategy displays Doodles’ commitment to determining its own course and project vision.

Doodles’ Development and Growth

Doodles first appeared as a 10,000 NFT effort on Ethereum in 2021. Since that time, it has increased strongly, and its trading volumes are around $650 million. Doodles expanded its scope by launching Doodles 2, a more complex project that provides game features, metaverse integration, and avatar adaptation on the Flow network.
